Farm Tractor Pull Rules

1. Antique models through 1964 (any questionable age tractor or protest will be decided by a 3 man committee named at each tractor pull). 
2. Gasoline,
diesel, and Factory LP gas are approved fuels.
3. Any questionable age of tractor must have serial number intact and not tampered with.
4. Tractors must weigh within limits of each weight class. One (1) entry per class.
5. Factory high R.P.M. only- 10% overide allowed. Tractors subject to R.P.M. check at any time.
6. Tractors must retain stock engine and stock appearance where possible.
7. Tractors are allowed 14" tire width in Classes 1 through 4; 16" tire width in Classes 5 through 11; 18" tire width in Class 12;  23" tire width in Classes 13 and 14.
8. No altered tires by cutting, trimming, etc. will be allowed.
9. Add on weights are allowed. No weights to extend past 16" from face of front tires. NO duals on rear. Rear weight bracket shall not extend past rear tires and weights shall not extend 12" past rear of tires. Minimum of 10" width opening between rear weights required for access to clevis.
10. All tractors must start with a tight chain, start off easy, do not jerk sled. no shifting of TAs. If your tractor has a factory TA, you are permitted to shift ONE time.
11. Drivers must remain seated during pull with at least one hand on steering wheel --- unless tractor has hand brakes. NO bouncing in seat during pull, Track Officils will disqualify puller.
12. Persons under 16 years of age must have track official and parent or guardian signature and approval before pulling.
13. Each puller has two (2) attempts to pass the 20' mark - pull is official after 20' mark is passed.
14. Track official may disqualify any tractor driver for unsportsmanlike conduct, intoxication, or failing to stop when red flagged.
15. No one allowed on track except pullers and officials.
16. Pull is over when forward motion of sled is stopped or when red flag is dropped.
17. Front wheels may not leave the ground more than 18" during pull.This will be flagman's discresion.
18. 20" maximum drawbar height - 18" minimum drawbar length from center of rear axle to center of drawbar hole. 3" minimum horizontal free clevis shall be on tractor.
19. Drawbar must be stationary with no more than one (1) inch movement vertically one (1) inch movement horizontally.
20. No differentials or driveline alterations.
21. A protest must be filed within weight class before next class starts.
22. Flagman's decision is final.
23. No hotrod tractors or pickup trucks allowed to pull. No TURBO tractors.
24. In a pull off situation, tractors must return to the staging area and only there may move weights on the tractor.  Adding or removing weights will not be permitted.
25. WHEELIE BARS ARE MANDATORY and must meet new standards if questioned. No wheels on bars.
26. All weights must be securely attached to the tractor. Any ballast lost while hooked to the sled will be cause for the pull to stop (stop signal given by flagman) where the item is lost.
27. Maximum sled speed is 4.0 MPH. Puller is allowed one blow of horn. Puller will be disqualified if horn blows a second time.
28. If the tractor or sled touches the white line, pull stops (stop signal given by flagman) and is measured. If puller does not stop when signaled, puller is disqualified.
29. Person pulling tractor must be able to stage, backup and hook to sled, and maneuver tractor in a safe manner with no physical assistance.

Stock Garden Tractor Rules

1. 700 lb. Stock and 800 lb. Stock - 7 & 8 hp. only - age limit 12 years of age or younger.
2. 700 lb. Stock and 800 lb. Stock - 7 & 8 hp. only - adults only.

3. Contestant must be at least 12 years of age or have a parents or guardians signed consent form.
4. All garden tractors of any kind or sort must have wheelie bars. No exceptions! Hook chain must not touch any part of wheelie bars. 6 inches must be left open around hitch point for ease of hooking.
5. No four wheel drive tractors or atv's.
6. Garden tractors in stock class must use rubber tires only and must be turf tires of the same size and type as factory equipment. No tire chains or 4-wheel drive knobbies.
7. Mower decks and other attachments must be removed while in competition.
8. Hitches must be no more than 12 inches high to the top of the hitching device and must be stationary in all directions. Hitches must have a hole 3/4 inch or larger for hooking up and pulling sled.
9. Tractors with electric start must be disabled from starting while in gear.
10. All weights must be secured to tractor. If weight(s) is (are) lost while pulling, pull will stop and pull will be measured to the point where weight(s) was (were) lost.
11. Stock exhaust may be modified to discharge in upward direction and must extend a minimum of 12 inches above bend of pipe.
12. All drivers must remain in seat while pulling. Anyone standing up or getting up on back of tractor seat while pulling will be disqualified.
13. All tractors must weigh in after pulling.
14. If "any" of the sled or tractor goes on the white line the pull is stopped! Failure to stop will cause disqualification!! The pull will be measured to the point of where the sled or tractor was on the white line.
15. Definition of stock - running gear may not be altered. Length may not be altered. Sheet metal may be altered.
The only part(s) of the engine that may be altered is the air filter and exhaust.
16. No alcohol burners in the stock class.

 

Modified Garden Tractor Rules

1. Contestant must be at least 12 years of age with parents or guardian signature on consent form.
2. Contest open to garden tractors with rubber tires. No mowing decks, tire chains, tire studs or four wheel drive tractors allowed. Atv tires, cut tire, and c-peck tires are allowed in these classes, but no dual wheels.
3. No portion of any tractor may exceed 6 1/2 feet in length from the center of the rear axle to furthest point forward. No portion of tractor can exceed 5 feet wide. Pull chain must not touch any part of wheelie bars. 6 inches must be left open around hitch point for ease of hooking.
4. Rims are limited to 12 inches in diameter. Tire size 26 x 12.00 x 12 max size
5. Draw bars must be stationary in all directions and 13 inches maximum from the top of hitching device to ground (Super Modified classes, see rule #18). Draw bar length cannot be less than 6 inches from the point of hook to the center of rear axle.
6. All tractors must have a safety device to prevent turnovers. This device may have wheels at least 3/4 inches wide and 5 inches or larger diameter, or skid pads of 6 square inches of area. These devices must be no less than 5 inches behind the rear of the tires, and may not be more than 5 inches above ground level. One is required on each side of the tractor and must be strong enough to support the weight of the tractor.
7. All exhaust must discharge vertically upward and must be securely attached. Exhaust pipe must extend a maximum of 12 inches above bend of the pipe.
8. Fuel must be gasoline or alcohol. No nitro, nitrous oxide or oxygen allowed.
9. All weights must be securely attached to the tractor. If weight(s) is (are) lost while pulling, pull will stop and pull will be measured to the point where the weight(s) was (were) lost.
10. No auto engines!!! One or two cylinder engines are defined as having air-cooled cylinders, four cycle, cast iron or aluminum stock casting with a flat head, 18 horsepower or less. Motorcycle engines are limited to a maximum casting size of 1400 cc. No auto engines!!
11. Clutches and open drive train components (belt and/or chains) must be covered with a shield of 16 gauge steel minimum, or aluminum equivalent to 14 gauge.
12. All tractors must be equipped with brakes in good working condition.
13. Throttles must be of a dead-man type (Return to the closed position when foot or hand is removed)
14. All tractors equipped with electric starters must not be able to start in gear.
15. All tractors must have fenders on each side to protect driver from the tires. Hoods are mandatory!!
16. Tractors must have an ignition kill switch in working order, mounted on the rear of the tractor and within 6 inches of the center of the tractor with a 2 inch pull ring.
I7. If any of the sled or tractor goes on the white line, the pull is stopped! Failure to stop will result in disqualification!! The pull will be measured to the point of where the sled or tractor was on the white line.
18. Draw bar height for Super Modified classes will less than or equal to 15 inches.
